Please note: This feature requires the built-in microphone on your phone/tablet, place phone/tablet as close to the sound source (Spark guitar amp) as possible for the best result. When using headphones out, the sound source would be your guitar since the Amp is muted.
Please also make sure that you have internet connection while using this feature.
To start a Smart Jam, please follow the steps below:
1. Open Spark Amp app, and tap the Music icon on the bottom
2. Tap the Create icon on the left to start a Smart Jam
3. Choose a drummer and set the BPM
4. Play and jam!
To edit the chords of your jam track:
Hold on the chord symbol until the “edit chord” icon appears.
Drag on each end of the red bar to adjust the number of bars you want to edit.
Tap on the “edit chord” icon and enter the chord editing page. Select the chord you want, and hit “apply to current part” if you want to apply the chord change only the part you have selected.
Hit “apply to all parts” if you want to apply the chord change to the same bars across all different sections.
To change the key of the entire jam track:
Tap on the setting icon on the top right.
In the “Transpose” section, drag the slider to the right to transpose the track to a higher key, drag the slider to the left to transpose the track to a lower key. The number value indicates how many semitones the jam track has been transposed by.
To change to the tempo of jam track:
Tap on the setting icon on the top right.
In the “BPM” section, drag the slider clockwise to increase the tempo of the jame track, drag the slider counterclockwise to decrease the tempo of the jam track.
Tap on the “BPM” icon for a few times to set a new tempo.
To reset the jam track back to default:
Tap on the setting icon on the top right.
Tap on the “reset to default” icon on the bottom of the page.
To submit feedback on the Smart Jam feature:
Tap on the feedback icon, next to the setting icon, on the top right.
Select the feedback you wish to submit, and tap on the “submit” icon on the top right.
