Setting up RIFF with BIAS FX 2 (Desktop)

Setting up RIFF with BIAS FX 2 (Desktop)

    1. Use a standard 1/4" guitar cable to plug your guitar into RIFF.

    2. Connect RIFF to your computer or mobile device with the supplied micro-USB cable.

    3. Connect your personal headphones or studio monitors (speakers)

    4. Open BIAS FX 2 (RIFF comes with BIAS FX 2 LE, and it has a standalone version which you can use without running a DAW).

    5. Select RIFF as both the input and output device in the audio setting tab.

    6. Set the sample rate, buffer size to desirable values. We recommend using sample rate = 44.1k, buffer size = 512 samples as a starting point.

    7. Start playing.

No sound. How to fix it?

There are different scenarios that might lead to having no sound:

    1. RIFF’s output is off or too low -> Turn it up.

    2. RIFF’s output is not connected to any speaker/headphone -> Check the connection & make sure the speakers are powered and turned on.

    3. RIFF is not selected as the audio device in BIAS FX 2 / DAW -> Go to “Audio Setting” of the software and make sure RIFF is selected as both input and output.

    4. RIFF is not successfully connected and is not detected by the computer -> Reconnect RIFF (directly to the computer and not via any USB hub), make sure the driver is installed (if needed).

    5. There’s no input signal into RIFF -> Check the guitar (volume is turned up) and guitar cable (not broken), and make sure the input gain on RIFF is turned up, until the input signal can be read on RIFF’s screen.
