Use this guide to diagnose and resolve common issues with your BIAS Head/Rack. Work through the relevant section below before contacting support.
Noise Issues (Hum / Hiss)

No Sound from Speaker Output

Sound Quality Issues
- Back up your presets, then perform a Factory Reset.
- Update the firmware to the latest version.
- Test with a different guitar cable and a different guitar to isolate the source.
- If using pedals, remove them from the signal chain and test direct to rule out interference.
Preset Issues
- Back up your presets, then perform a Factory Reset.
- Update the firmware to the latest version.
- Ensure you are running the latest version of BIAS Amp 2 on your device.
- If presets fail to upload from ToneCloud, check your internet/Wi-Fi connection and retry.
Connection Issues (USB / Bluetooth)
- Ensure BIAS Amp 2 is updated to the latest version.
- For Bluetooth issues, go to your device’s Bluetooth settings, unpair BIAS Head/Rack, and reconnect fresh from within the BIAS Amp 2 app.
- For USB issues, try a different USB cable and a different USB port.
- Restart both your device and the BIAS Head/Rack.

LED Issues
- Back up your presets, then perform a Factory Reset.
- Update the firmware to the latest version.
- If the LED remains unresponsive or shows unexpected behavior after the above steps, contact support.
MIDI Issues
- Confirm your MIDI controller is sending on the correct MIDI channel.
- Check the MIDI cable connections — ensure MIDI Out of controller connects to MIDI In on BIAS Head/Rack.
- Review your MIDI CC/PC assignments in BIAS Amp 2 Settings — refer to MIDI Settings for BIAS HEAD / BIAS Rack.
- Back up your presets, then perform a Factory Reset and retest.
