Spark 40 Firmware Troubleshooting

If you encounter any of these problems after a firmware update, follow the steps below to get an alternative updater:

    • Update Failure: The update didn't finish successfully.
    • Device Problem: The Spark is unresponsive or 'bricked.'
    • LED Issue: The LED lights on the Spark are blinking.

Obtaining the Alternative Firmware Updater

  1. Locate the chatbot in the bottom right corner of this page.

  2. Enter the serial number of your Spark amp into the chatbot.
If the chatbot didn't prompt you to enter the serial number, please type in 'Spark 40 Alternative'.

You can find the serial number of your Spark 40 on the rear of the unit, adjacent to the USB port. The serial number for the Spark follows this format: S040Cxxxxxxx (12 digits).

  3. The chatbot will then provide you with a link to download the alternative firmware updater.

    System Requirements for the Updater:

    • macOS: 10.13 or later
    • Windows: 8 or later

The updater does not support all other systems, including Linux, ChromeOS, iOS, iPadOS, Android, or any other systems not listed. Ensure your system meets these requirements to successfully use the firmware updater.
