How to Connect/Disconnect My Spark Amp to the Spark CAB? – Help Center

This guide shows how to connect and disconnect your Spark amp with the Spark CAB, plus the correct power sequence to avoid damage.

DC Out warning: The DC Out on Spark CAB is designed for Spark 40 and Spark 2 only. Do not use it to power other pedals - a power mismatch may damage Spark CAB and the connected device.

Spark 40

Make sure Spark CAB is powered off and the volume levels are turned down.
Connect Spark 40's Headphone Out to the Spark Input on the rear of Spark CAB using the supplied 3.5mm audio cable. Make sure the Input Switch is set to the left.

Optionally, power Spark 40 from the DC Out on Spark CAB.

Power on Spark 40 first, then Spark CAB. Adjust the volume on Spark CAB as needed.

Use the Music Volume knob next to Spark 40's headphone output to balance volume between Spark 40 and Spark CAB. Spark 40's built-in speaker is muted when plugged into Spark CAB.

Spark MINI / GO

Make sure Spark CAB is powered off and the volume levels are turned down.
Connect Spark MINI or GO's Headphone Out to the Spark Input on Spark CAB using the supplied 3.5mm audio cable. Make sure the Input Switch is set to the left.

Optionally, charge Spark MINI or GO from the USB-C Charge Out on Spark CAB.

Power on Spark MINI or GO first, then Spark CAB. Adjust the volume on Spark CAB as needed.

Adjust the Guitar knob on Spark MINI or the golden wheel volume control on Spark GO to balance volume with Spark CAB. Spark MINI and GO's built-in speakers are muted when plugged into Spark CAB.

Spark 2

Make sure Spark CAB is powered off and the volume levels are turned down.
Connect Spark 2's Line Out (L/MONO) to Input 1 on Spark CAB using a 1/4" TS cable. Make sure the Input Switch is set to the right.

Optionally, power Spark 2 from the DC Out on Spark CAB. A compatible adapter cable is required.

You can control Spark 2's main speaker mute/unmute behavior when Line Out is connected via the Spark app. See Control main output mute/unmute behavior with line out.

Spark PEDAL

Make sure Spark CAB is powered off and the volume levels are turned down.
Connect Spark PEDAL's Line Out (L/MONO) on the rear to Input 1 on Spark CAB using a 1/4" TS cable. Make sure the Input Switch is set to the right.

Power on Spark PEDAL first, then Spark CAB. Adjust the volume on Spark CAB as needed.

Tip: When using Spark PEDAL with an external cabinet like Spark CAB, turn off the Cab Simulator on Spark PEDAL to avoid double cab modeling.

Double tap the Main Knob in AMP Mode to toggle the Cab Simulator (Cab Sim) on/off. The LED indicates the current state - red when Cab Sim is on, peach when off.

Power-off Sequence

When shutting down, always power down Spark CAB before the Spark amp.

Powering off the Spark amp before Spark CAB may result in loud pops and could damage Spark CAB.
