While powering up, the LED indicator on both devices will display the battery level:

Auto Power-Off Behavior
When idle, the LED turns off as each device enters auto power-off:
- TX - powers off after 15 minutes with no audio signal, to conserve battery.
- RX - powers off after 15 seconds if it detects no connection to the TX.
