How to Check My Current Firmware Version

Knowing your current firmware version is essential for ensuring compatibility with the Spark app, accessing the latest features, and troubleshooting any potential issues. If you’re experiencing problems while using your Spark amp, the support team may require you to confirm your firmware version during inquiries.

 

Here’s how to check your Spark amp's firmware version:

  1. Connect to your Spark amp first.
  2. Tap on the Menu tab (located in the bottom-right corner of the screen).
  3. Tap on the product card of the connected Spark amp.
  4. Swipe until you reach the bottom of the page.
  5. Locate "Firmware Version", under it, you’ll see a series of numbers (e.g., 2.6.2.194).
  6. This is your current firmware version.

 

 

 

Here’s how to check your Spark Control X's firmware version:

  1. Connect to your Spark amp first.
  2. Tap on the Menu tab (located in the bottom-right corner of the screen).
  3. *Connect to your Spark Control X.
  4. Tap on "Spark Control X Connected" directly below the Spark amp's product card.
  5. Locate "Firmware Version", under it, you’ll see a series of numbers (e.g., 4.1.23).
  6. This is your current firmware version.

Additional tips:

  • If your unit is running outdated firmware, you'll see an "Update" option next to the firmware version in the Spark app. For supported models, the Spark app will initiate the update process over-the-air (OTA). If OTA updates are not supported, the app will provide a link to our Help Center with detailed instructions for updating your unit via USB.
