License Activation & Management

Activate

An internet connection is required to activate your license. Offline activation is not supported at this time for security and anti-piracy reasons.

 

To activate your BIAS X license, please follow the steps below:

1. Launch BIAS X (either the standalone app or as a plugin in your DAW).

2. Click “Log In with Browser.”

 

3. A browser window will open—log in with your Positive Grid account to activate your license.

 

4. Once logged in, you can close the browser and start using BIAS X!

 


To check if your license has been properly activated, please follow the steps below:

1. Click the gear icon in the bottom-left corner to open Settings. Screen Shot 2021-07-16 at 17.58.07 copy 2.png

2. Go to the Account page. Under License Tier, you’ll see your activation status.

 


Deactivate

To deactivate your BIAS X license, please follow the steps below:

1. Go to the My Products / Desktop Software page and log in to your Positive Grid account.

 

2. Find BIAS X and click the SOFTWARE DETAILS button.

 

3. Scroll to view your list of activated devices and click Remove next to any device you no longer use to deactivate it.

 

4. That’s it! You can always return to this page to manage your activated devices.


FAQs

Q: Does the license cover both Mac and PC? How many devices can I activate?
A: Yes! One license works on both Mac and Windows, and you can activate it on up to 5 devices simultaneously.
Q: Do I need an internet connection to activate BIAS X?
A: Yes, an internet connection is required to activate your BIAS X license. BIAS X does not support offline activation.
Q: Can I use BIAS X offline after activation?
A: Yes. After activation, BIAS X can be used offline. However, if you stay offline for more than 90 days, you'll be prompted to log in again.
In plugin mode, the sound will continue to work even after 90 days, but as soon as you open the plugin interface, it will ask you to log in again.
Q: What happens if I have activated BIAS X on the maximum number of devices?
A: If you've reached the 5-device limit, you'll see a “Device Limit Reached” message. To activate on a new device, go to the User Center and deactivate one of the existing devices.
Q: What if I log in and don't have a BIAS X license?
A: You'll see a "License Not Found" message and be asked to check or purchase a license in the User Center.
If you’re signed in with the wrong account, log out of the User Center in your browser and log in again with the correct email.
