2. Creating a Tone with Text
Click the AI button in the sidebar to open the AI
Enter a description of the tone you want (up to 400 characters). Try typing in a musical style, genre, artist, feeling or vibe. Press Enter to generate presets based on your description.
- Example prompts:
"Clean tone with sparkle for rhythm guitar"
"Give me a tone that feels like ‘The Starry Night’ by Van Gogh"
"Blues tone with warm overdrive and subtle reverb"
3. Using the Generated Presets:
When the AI finishes analyzing your prompt, it provides an explanation of the tone concept based on your description. Here’s how to read and interact with its response:
a. Review the AI Reasoning
In the left panel, you’ll see a short paragraph explaining how BIAS X arrived at the suggested tone, describing the amp, drive, cabinet, and effects. This helps you understand the key tonal elements and how they match your request.
b. Examine the Preset Chain
BIAS X generates a signal chain (e.g., Gate→Comp→Drive→Amp→Cab→Reverb) reflecting the AI’s reasoning.
c. Apply the Preset
Click on any generated preset to load it. The chain and controls update instantly, so you can play your guitar to hear if the tone aligns with your expectations.
d. Refresh or Provide Feedback
If the tone isn't quite right, feel free to type extra guidance, such as “less overdrive” or “darker tone.”
e. Adjust Parameters
Tweak knobs as desired—raise the Drive for more gain, reduce the Reverb for a drier sound, or experiment with EQ to refine the tone. You retain full creative control.
f. Saving AI-Generated Presets
- After applying an AI-generated preset, it becomes your current preset.
- Click "Save" to overwrite your current preset or "Save as new" to create a new preset
- The preset will be saved to your preset menu
