Free BIAS AMP 2 Software for BIAS Hardware Users

Desktop (Mac/PC)

Follow these steps to register your BIAS hardware and claim your free BIAS AMP 2 Professional Desktop license.

Registration Steps

Step 1: Create a ToneCloud Account

1. If you don't have an account yet, sign up at: https://account.positivegrid.com/store_signup

Step 2: Download BIAS AMP 2 Desktop

1. Log in to the Positive Grid website
2. Download the latest BIAS AMP 2 Desktop software from: https://www.positivegrid.com/demo
3. Install the software on your computer

Step 3: Connect Your Hardware

1. Connect your BIAS AMP Series hardware to your computer via the supplied USB cable
2. Important: Keep the device powered off until BIAS AMP 2 Desktop is fully installed and set up

Step 4: Log In to BIAS AMP 2 Desktop

1. Launch BIAS AMP 2 Desktop standalone application
2. Log in with your Positive Grid/ToneCloud account credentials

Step 5: Register Your Hardware

1. Once connected, a registration notification will appear
2. Click REGISTER to proceed

Step 6: Confirm Your Account

1. Verify that your Positive Grid/ToneCloud account matches the "Current Owner Account"
2. Complete the registration process

Verifying Your License

Once registration is complete, the BIAS AMP 2 Professional Desktop license is automatically transferred to your ToneCloud account.

To check your license tier:

1. Click the Settings Menu in the top right corner
2. Select App Information
3. Your license tier will be displayed

License Transfer & Resale

For Current Owners Selling Hardware:

1. Before selling your unit, contact Positive Grid support to deactivate your license from your account
2. This allows the new owner to register their account and obtain the license
3. Submit a request at: https://help.positivegrid.com/hc/en-us/requests/new

For Buyers of Used Hardware:

1. Ask the previous owner to contact Positive Grid support to deactivate their license
2. Once deactivated, you can register the hardware to your account and obtain the license

Mobile (iPad/iPhone)

Follow these steps to register your BIAS hardware and claim your free BIAS AMP 2 Mobile license for iPad and iPhone.

Registration Steps

Step 1: Download BIAS AMP 2 Mobile

1. Go to the App Store on your iOS device
2. Download and install BIAS AMP 2 Mobile (it's a freemium app, free to download)

Step 2: Connect Your Hardware

1. Launch BIAS AMP 2 Mobile
2. Tap the gear icon in the top right corner
3. Select Connect Hardware from the dropdown menu
4. This will connect your BIAS amplifier and automatically upgrade the firmware

Step 3: Log In to ToneCloud

1. Once connected, you'll be prompted to log in to your ToneCloud account
2. If you don't have an account yet, tap Sign Up to create one

Step 4: Register Your Hardware

1. If this is a new account or your first time running BIAS AMP 2 Mobile, you'll see a registration prompt
2. Press the REGISTER button
3. Follow the prompts to complete registration

Alternative: Register Later

If you dismissed the registration prompt, you can still register at any time by tapping the Register button in the top right corner of the app.

Temporary vs Full License

Full License (Hardware Registered):

• Once your BIAS amplifier is registered to your account, a full license for BIAS AMP 2 Mobile is automatically added
• Access to every feature in the software (except custom Celestion speaker packages)
• Works even when your hardware is not connected

Temporary License (Hardware Not Registered):

• If you select "Run Temporary" instead of registering, full functionality is unlocked only while the hardware is connected
• When you disconnect the hardware, features will be limited
• You can register your hardware at any time to get the full permanent license
