If you own a qualifying Positive Grid product, you may be eligible for a discounted upgrade to BIAS X.
Eligibility Product
- BIAS FX 1 & 2 Desktop (Standard, Pro, or Elite)*
- BIAS AMP 1 & 2 Desktop (Standard, Pro, or Elite)*
- BIAS Pedal (Distortion, Delay, Modulation)*
- Ownership of any of the Spark Series Amps** registered to your Positive Grid account qualifies you for an upgrade.***
*BIAS FX 1 & 2 Desktop / BIAS AMP 1 & 2 Desktop Demo and BIAS FX 2 Desktop LE versions are free and therefore not eligible. BIAS FX 1 & 2 Mobile/ BIAS AMP 1 & 2 Mobile / BIAS Pedal Mobile licenses are also not eligible.

How to Access the Upgrade

Visit the BIAS X Product Page
Navigate to the BIAS X product page on the Positive Grid website.

Log In to Your Account
Click on the "Log In" button to sign in to your Positive Grid account.

View Upgrade Options
Once logged in, the page will display two options:
- BIAS X Full Price: Standard purchase option.
- BIAS X Upgrade: Discounted upgrade option (if eligible).
If you're eligible, the "BIAS X Upgrade" option will be active and selectable.
FAQs
Q: What is the price of BIAS X?
A: The full version of BIAS X is priced at $149. Discounts are available through upgrade programs.
Q: Does the listed price include tax?
A: No. The listed price does not include taxes. Applicable taxes (such as VAT, GST, or sales tax) will be calculated at checkout based on your billing address and local regulations. The final amount, including tax, will be shown before you complete your purchase.
Q: Do I need to upgrade based on my FX2 tier (e.g., Standard vs. Pro)?
A: No. All BIAS FX 2 tiers (except for demo & LE) are eligible for the same upgrade offer. The tier does not impact the BIAS X upgrade path. Only one core version of BIAS X is offered—no tiered feature sets. Pricing differences are based solely on upgrade eligibility.
Q: What if I just bought BIAS FX 2?
A: Customers who recently purchased the desktop version of BIAS FX 2 may be eligible for a special discount on BIAS X. Please check your email inbox for more details.
Q: What are the differences between each license tier or version?
A: Only one core version of BIAS X is offered—no tiered feature sets. Pricing differences are based solely on upgrade eligibility.
Q: I have multiple products registered for upgrade pricing, can I purchase by upgrade pricing and gift the license to others?
A: No, each user can only upgrade to BIAS X under their own account once.
Q: Do you offer educational or student discounts?
A: At this time, we don’t offer a dedicated educational or student discount. However, if you own a Positive Grid product, you will be eligible for a discounted upgrade.
Q: What if I don’t see the upgrade option after logging in?
A: Make sure your qualifying product is registered to your Positive Grid account. You can check or register your product in the User Center.
