  1. Open Sound Settings

    • Right-click the speaker icon in the lower-right corner of your desktop.
    • Select Open Sound settings.

  2. Check Recording Device Settings

    • In the Sound Control Panel, go to the Recording tab.
    • Select your Microphone or desired input device (e.g., Focusrite) and click Properties.

    • Go to the Advanced tab and verify or change the Default Format setting

  3. Check Playback Device Settings

    • Still in the Sound Control Panel, switch to the Playback tab.
