BIAS X Fails to Launch – How to Fix It

If you're not able to launch BIAS X, please follow the instructions below to resolve the issue.

Symptom: BIAS X fails to launch.

Launch issues are often caused by corrupted preset data or settings files. Resetting these can help restore functionality.

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. Disable Cloud-Based Sync
  2. Verify the Local Documents Folder

    • Ensure the correct and most recently modified local Documents folder is being used.
  3. Rename the BIAS_X Folder
    • Locate the BIAS_X folder in your system and rename it to BIAS_X backup.
      • macOS: /Users/<YourUserName>/Documents/PositiveGrid/BIAS_X
      • Windows: C:\Users\<YourUserName>\Documents\PositiveGrid\BIAS_X
  4. Delete the Settings File

  5. Restart Your Computer

    • After making the changes above, restart your computer and try launching BIAS X again.
Renaming the folder instead of deleting it keeps your presets and user data safe in case you need to restore them later.
