Preset Menu
The Preset Menu allows you to organize and instantly recall your complete tone setup.
Browsing & Switching Presets
- Access the Preset Menu from the sidebar.
- Click any preset to load it instantly.
Organizing Presets
- Rename / Delete: Right-click a preset or folder name.
- Reorder: Drag and drop presets or folders to rearrange.
- New Preset: Right-click the empty area or preset to create a new preset.
- New Folder: Right-click the empty area or preset to create a new folder.
Favorite Presets
- Click the star icon beside a preset to mark it as a Favorite.
- Favorite presets appear in the Favorite tab for quick access.
Bottom Bar
This section contains global controls that influence input, output, and master-level functions within BIAS X.
Input & Output
Input Meter
Displays the input signal level from your audio interface. Supports both Mono and Stereo modes.
Input Mode Options

Mono (Default)
- One input channel is duplicated to both L/R channels
- Two channels are mixed into mono

Stereo
- Requires two active input channels
- The left and right channels are processed independently.
- Ideal for stereo instruments
If only one input is available in Stereo mode, BIAS X will automatically switch to Mono.
Output Meter
Shows the final output level of your signal chain.
Global Noise Gate

Eliminates unwanted noise or hum from your signal. When activated, the effect is applied globally.
- Threshold Range: Adjustable from -96 dB to 0 dB
- Learn: Automatically analyzes your noise floor and sets the optimal threshold

Tuner
A fast and accurate chromatic tuner is built into the bottom bar.
- Reference Pitch: 440 Hz by default; adjustable from 420–460 Hz in Preferences
Doubler
Tutorial Video
Creates a stereo-widening effect by duplicating the input signal and applying a slight delay.
- SPREAD: Adjusts the delay offset between left and right signals
This feature is automatically disabled when Stereo Input Mode is active.
Tempo
Sets timing reference for modulation- or time-based effects.
- Global Tempo (Standalone App): Sets a universal BPM across all presets
- Host Tempo (Plugin): Synchronizes with your DAW's project tempo
Preset Tempo: Individual presets can store their BPM value
