Learn how to install the REACTOR app, connect your amplifier, and navigate the main features.

Requirements

  • A Positive Grid REACTOR amplifier, powered on and within Bluetooth range (~10 meters / 30 feet)
  • An iPhone running iOS 17 or later, or an Android device running Android 8.0 (Oreo) or later
  • Bluetooth enabled on your device

Download & Install

  • iOS: Open the App Store, search for "REACTOR" by Positive Grid, and tap Get.
  • Android: Open the Google Play Store, search for "REACTOR" by Positive Grid, and tap Install.

Connecting Your REACTOR

When you first launch the app, it immediately begins searching for your REACTOR over Bluetooth. No account or sign-in is required.

  1. Enable Bluetooth if prompted. Grant the necessary permissions when asked.
  2. The app scans automatically. You will see a "Connecting to device..." screen while it searches.
  3. Your REACTOR connects automatically. If only one REACTOR is found, the app pairs immediately, syncs your presets and settings, then takes you to the Tone screen.

If a firmware update is available, the app will prompt you before continuing. Critical updates are required; optional updates can be postponed.

If multiple REACTOR amps are found nearby, swipe through the device cards and tap the one you want to connect to.

Don't have a REACTOR? Tap "Skip" to explore the app without a connected amplifier.
Note: Log in to access the full features of ToneCloud and Creator Hub.

App Overview

After connecting, you land on the Tone screen. The app is organized into three main tabs at the bottom:

Tab What It Does
Tone Your main workspace — browse presets, edit your signal chain, and adjust parameters.
Creator Hub Tone creation tools — describe a sound, upload a photo, provide a song, or ask it to fix your current tone.
ToneCloud Browse and download tones shared by the REACTOR community and Positive Grid.

The gear icon in the top-right corner opens Settings, where you can manage your device, account, tuner, and more.

Connection Troubleshooting

If the app shows "No Device Found":

  1. Make sure the REACTOR is powered on and within Bluetooth range.
  2. Check that Bluetooth is enabled on your phone.
  3. Press the Pair button on the amp, then tap Retry in the app.
  4. Restart Bluetooth on your phone, or restart the REACTOR amplifier.
  5. Make sure the REACTOR is not connected to another device — it supports one connection at a time.
