Troubleshooting guide for REACTOR App crashes, freezes, and stability issues.

The app crashes immediately when I open it
Quick fixes:
  1. Force close and restart
    • iOS: Swipe up from bottom, swipe away the app
    • Android: Recent apps → Swipe away REACTOR
  2. Clear app cache (Android)
    • Settings → Apps → REACTOR → Storage → Clear Cache
    • Note: This doesn't delete your presets
  3. Reinstall the app
    • Delete the REACTOR App
    • Re-download from App Store / Google Play
    • Log back into your account
    • Your cloud-saved presets will sync back
  4. Check OS compatibility
    • iOS: Requires iOS 17 or later
    • Android: Requires Android 8.0 or later
    • Update your phone's OS if needed

The app freezes when I do a specific action
Collect information for troubleshooting:
  • What exactly were you doing when it froze?
  • Does it happen every time you do this action?
  • Does it happen with specific presets only?
Try these steps:
  1. Restart the app and retry
    • Sometimes a one-time glitch
  2. Try with a different preset
    • If freeze only happens with one preset, it may be corrupted
    • Delete and re-download the preset
  3. Update everything
    • Update the app to latest version
    • Mismatched versions can cause issues
  4. Test on another device
    • If issue only happens on one phone, may be device-specific
Report reproducible freezes:
  • If you can reliably reproduce the freeze, contact Support
  • Include: exact steps, phone model, OS version, app version

The app is very slow or laggy
Optimize app performance:
Issue Solution
General slowness Close other apps, free up phone memory
Slow preset loading Check Bluetooth connection strength
Slow ToneCloud browsing Check internet connection
Lag when adjusting knobs Move closer to REACTOR, ensure stable connection
Phone-specific tips:
  • Older phones: The app may run slower on older devices
  • Storage full: Free up space on your phone
  • Too many apps running: Close unused apps

iOS-specific issues
App won't install:
  • Check available storage
  • Ensure iOS 17 or later
  • Try restarting your iPhone
Bluetooth permission denied:
  • Settings → REACTOR → Enable Bluetooth
  • If toggle is missing: Settings → Privacy → Bluetooth → REACTOR → Enable

Android-specific issues
App won't install:
  • Check available storage
  • Try clearing Google Play cache
Location permission:
  • Location permission is not required, but worth a try if Bluetooth scanning doesn't work
  • Settings → Apps → REACTOR → Permissions → Location → Allow
