If you see the following error when using Spark AI in the Spark app, tapping Retry won't resolve the issue. You'll need to log out and log back in.
How to fix it
- Open the Spark app.
- Go to the Menu page (bottom tab).
- Tap your account / profile to open the account settings.
- Tap Log out.
- Log back in with the same account.
- Try Spark AI again — the error should be gone.
Why Retry doesn't work
The error is caused by an expired or invalid authentication token on the network request. Tapping Retry reuses the same broken token, so the request fails with the same error. Logging out clears the token; logging back in issues a fresh one and restores Spark AI.
Still not working?
If the error keeps appearing after logging out and back in:
- Make sure the Spark app is updated to the latest version.
- Try switching between Wi-Fi and mobile data to rule out a network issue.
- If the issue persists, please contact Support with a screenshot of the error and your device model + OS version.
