← Back to Spark App User Guide for Spark PEDAL
Spark PEDAL exposes several advanced settings in the Spark app's Device Card. These settings are only accessible when Spark PEDAL is connected to the Spark app via Bluetooth (Tone Control).
How to Access the Device Card
- In the Spark app, tap the Menu tab (bottom-right).
-
Tap the product card at the top of the Menu page (shows "My Spark Pedal" or your device name).
- Scroll through the Device Details page to find each setting.
Power Settings
Configure Auto Standby and Auto Shutdown timers to conserve battery life.
-
Auto Standby - Spark PEDAL enters a low-power state after this many minutes of no audio activity. Instrument output and audio playback are temporarily disabled during standby. Play your instrument or start audio playback to wake it up.
- Options: 5 / 10 / 15 / 30 min / Never
- Default: 15 min
-
Auto Shutdown - Fully powers off Spark PEDAL after extended inactivity.
- Options: 30 / 40 / 50 / 60 min
- Default: 30 min
EXP Pedal Settings
Calibrate and assign the Volume or Wah LFO command to a connected expression pedal.
- Calibrate - Follow the on-screen prompts to teach the app your expression pedal's toe-down / heel-down range.
- Volume - Assign the expression pedal to control output volume.
- Wah LFO - Assign the expression pedal to sweep a wah effect.
MIDI Thru
Enable MIDI Thru to pass MIDI commands received on the MIDI IN port directly through to the MIDI OUT port.
This is useful when chaining Spark PEDAL with other MIDI devices - MIDI input from a controller can be forwarded to downstream gear (drum machines, other effects, etc.), while Spark PEDAL continues to respond to its own MIDI commands.
Global EQ
Adjust the Bass, Mid, and Treble of Spark PEDAL's overall output signal.
Global EQ is applied after the amp and effects signal chain, shaping the final sound sent to the L/MONO & R outputs and headphone output. Use it to compensate for the tonal character of different speakers, PAs, or headphones without changing your presets.

Change the display name shown when Spark PEDAL is connected in the Spark app. Custom names help you distinguish between multiple Spark devices.
