Device Card Settings for Spark MINI

The Device Card in the Spark app is where you check and adjust Spark MINI's advanced settings - EQ Scenario, Headphone / Line Out mode, Power settings, and Hi-Z Mode. These settings are only accessible when Spark MINI is connected to the Spark app via Bluetooth (Tone Control).

How to Access the Device Card

In the Spark app, tap the Menu tab (bottom-right).
Tap the product card at the top of the Menu page (shows your Spark MINI name).
Scroll through the Device Details page to find each setting.

EQ Scenario

EQ Scenario is a set of EQ curves curated by Positive Grid to give you the best listening and playing experience on Spark MINI, tailored to the type of music and instrument you're playing through.

Play music in the background (via the Music page) so you can hear the differences between modes and pick what suits you best. Leaving the page saves your selection automatically.

Headphone / Line Out

The 3.5mm Headphone / Line Out port on the rear panel can be configured as a stereo output for headphones or speakers, or as a mono output for guitar amps, powered cabinets, mixers, or audio interfaces.

Stereo (default) - Connect stereo output sources such as headphones, studio monitors, PA systems (with a Y cable), and other devices with stereo inputs.
Mono - Connect mono output sources such as guitar amps, powered cabinets, audio interfaces, and other devices with mono inputs.

A 3.5mm to 1/4" or RCA adapter (not included) may be required to connect certain devices.

Power Settings

Configure Auto Standby and Auto Shutdown timers to conserve battery life.

Auto Standby - Spark MINI enters a low-power state after a set time with no audio detected, preserving battery. Instrument output and music playback are temporarily disabled during standby. Play your instrument or start audio playback to wake it up.
Auto Shutdown - Fully powers off Spark MINI after extended inactivity.

Hi-Z Mode

Hi-Z stands for high-impedance. It optimizes the input impedance on Spark MINI to match your pickups.

Turn OFF for low-output pickups (standard passive single-coil / humbucker).
Turn ON for high-output pickups or instruments with a built-in preamp (active pickups, acoustic pickups with preamp).
