Onboard Tuner on Spark 40

Spark (40) has a built-in chromatic tuner accessible from the top panel — no app required.

Enter Tuner Mode

1. Power on your Spark (40).

2. Hold the TAP/TUNER button on the top panel to enter tuner mode.

   

3. To exit tuner mode, single-tap the TAP/TUNER button or one of the PRESET buttons.

Tuner Display

While in tuner mode, the 4 Preset LEDs indicate whether the played string is in tune.

Standby

No signal is detected.

Note too low / slightly low

The note detected is flat.

Note slightly high / too high

The note detected is sharp.

Note in tune

The note detected is in tune.

Use with the Spark App

The onboard tuner is a chromatic tuner. If you're unsure whether your instrument is noticeably out of tune, connect the Spark (40) to the Spark app (Tone Control) to see the exact note while tuning.

You can also enter tuner mode within the Spark app: Menu → Tuner.
