Editing Presets

Edit and customize your amp presets using BIAS Amp software, then save them directly to your BIAS Head/Rack hardware. Make adjustments to everything from simple naming to detailed amp parameters like preamp tubes and output valves.

You can hear changes in real-time as you play through your BIAS Head/Rack connected to your audio interface, making it easy to dial in the perfect tone.

Desktop

Step 1: Connect and Select Preset

  1. Connect your BIAS Head/Rack to your computer via the USB Type-B to Type-A cable
  2. Click the Preset menu to access all your presets
  3. Select the preset you want to edit

Step 2: Make Adjustments

Customize your preset by modifying any of the following:

  • Preset name
  • Preamp tubes and settings
  • Output valves
  • EQ settings
  • Gain structure
  • Cabinet and mic placement

You can test and edit presets in real-time even without saving them to your hardware first. This allows you to audition new tones before committing them to your device.

Step 3: Save to Hardware

  1. Once you're happy with your edits, click the arrow symbol next to the preset menu
  2. Select Save to Head

Step 4: Choose Location

  1. Enter the name of your preset
  2. Choose the bank and model number
  3. Click OK

The edited preset is now saved to your BIAS Head/Rack at the specified location.


Mobile (iOS)

Step 1: Connect and Select Preset

  1. Connect your BIAS Head/Rack to your iPad/iPhone via Bluetooth
  2. Open the Preset menu within the BIAS Amp app
  3. Select the amp you want to edit

Once you select a preset, the signal will automatically change to that amp through your BIAS Head/Rack, even if the preset isn't currently selected on the hardware. This allows you to preview and edit before saving.

Step 2: Make Adjustments

Edit any aspect of the amp tone using the touch interface on your iOS device.

Step 3: Save Changes

  1. Once you're happy with your edits, tap the Save icon next to the preset menu
  2. Tap Overwrite to save the changes to your hardware
