Spark Control X Connection Troubleshooting

If you run into any connection problems with Spark Control X, please follow the instructions below:

*Make sure to turn off other nearby Bluetooth devices before attempting the following instructions.

  1. Turn off and turn on the Bluetooth on your iOS/Android device.

  2. Make sure the Spark Control X is connected to the Spark app (Spark 40, Spark MINI, and Spark GO) or directly to the Spark amp (Spark LIVE and Spark 2).

If the Spark Control X still can't connect to the Spark app or directly to Spark amp, please proceed with the steps below:

  1. Make sure your Spark app version is up-to-date. 

  2. Make sure your Spark amp has the latest firmware.

  3. Make sure your Spark Control X has the latest firmware.

  4. If you own more than one Spark amp and are having trouble connecting Spark Control X—especially if it has previously connected successfully to other mobile devices—try this:

    First, connect Spark Control X to a Spark amp. Then, on the previous mobile device, forget Spark Control X from the Bluetooth settings before attempting to connect it to the Spark amp.


If the connection issue persists after trying the above, please back up your Spark presets and perform a factory reset on the Spark amp, then try again.
