Spark Control X Firmware Update

Before you begin

1. Update the Spark app to the latest version.
   
   
2. Ensure the firmware on the Spark amp is up to date.
   For more information, please check the firmware release notes on each product.
   
   
3. Make sure the Spark Control X is connected to the Spark amp and is displayed in the Spark app.
   
   For Spark LIVE / Spark 2, directly connect the Spark Control X to the amps.

Instructions

1. Go to the Menu tab and tap on the Device Details page.
   

2. Tap on the "Check for Update >" next to the firmware version.
   

3. If an update is available, a dialog will appear to confirm whether you would like to update the
   firmware. Tap on Update to begin the update process.

4. The firmware updater will detect if the update is available. Click the red ‘Update Firmware’ button to start the update process.
   

   Do not turn off the Spark Control X or disconnect your mobile device during the update process.

5. Once the update is complete, a dialog box will appear indicating that the firmware update is complete.

   The Spark Control X will turn off and install the firmware update. Keep the Spark Control X off for 30 seconds to allow it to install the firmware, then turn it on and reconnect the device.

6. Done! Now power up your Spark Control X and connect it to your Spark amp/app.

7. You can also check the firmware version of the Spark Control X by clicking on the Device Details when it's connected to the Spark app.
