We highly recommend updating your amplifier's firmware to the latest version to access the newest features and enhancements for Spark 2.
Before you begin
- Update the Spark app to the latest version.
- Back up your customized presets. For guidance, refer to: Backup & Restore Tone Presets.
- Make sure Spark 2’s power cord is connected throughout the update process.

OTA/Over-the-air Update

Launch the Spark app and connect to Spark 2.

If a firmware update is available, the Spark app will prompt you to update.

You will be prompted to connect to Wi-Fi to proceed.
- Once connected to Wi-Fi, the firmware update should start automatically. Ensure that the app remains open and active, and that Spark 2 stays powered on.
- After the update is complete, you will receive an on-screen notification, and the amp will automatically turn off.
- You can check the firmware version of the Spark 2 by clicking on the product card when it's connected to the Spark app.

Troubleshooting
Q: The Spark app keeps scanning for Wi-Fi and nothing happens.
A: Please perform a factory reset on the Spark 2, connect it to the Spark app, and then update the firmware via OTA again.
Q: I entered the incorrect Wi-Fi password during the firmware update process, and now I'm unable to connect the Spark 2 to Wi-Fi.
A: Please perform a factory reset on the Spark 2, connect it to the Spark app, and then update the firmware via OTA again.
Q: After the firmware update, Spark 2 cannot be connected via Bluetooth.
A: Navigate to the Bluetooth settings of your device, unpair or forget the previous connection with Spark 2 Audio, and then open the Spark app to connect Tone Control before connecting Spark 2 Audio.
