Buttons Introduction
REC/DUB:
Tap to start recording or overdubbing. Tap again to stop recording and start playback.
PLAY/STOP:
Starts/stops the loop playback. Hold to switch between Auto Mode and Signal Detection Mode.
UNDO/REDO/CLEAR:
Tap to remove the last dub track or put it back into the loop.
Modes for Standalone Recording
Auto Mode (Click On):
Adjustable loop length. It will automatically start recording after a 1 bar count-in and stop recording when reaching the length set in the Time Settings menu in the Spark app. It’s the default recording mode.
*In Auto Mode, the metronome tempo of the looper is based on the tap tempo. You can change it by tapping the 'TAP' button three times with your preferred tempo.
Signal Detection Mode (Click Off):
Free length. It will automatically start recording when Spark 2 detects a guitar signal, users tap on the record button to stop recording. The REC/DUB LED will show yellow when switching to Signal Detection Mode.
*The onboard looper offers up to 60 seconds of recording time.

The onboard looper in the Spark 2 also works with the Spark app.
When connected to the app, you can control the looper directly from your phone, and additional settings will be available for you to customize.
Before you begin
- Update the Spark app to the latest version.

- Connect the Spark 2 to the Spark app (Tone Control) and pair it with Bluetooth audio on your mobile device:

Simple Looper
Make sure you are connected to your Spark device’s Bluetooth Audio and Tone Control connections, and ensure that your phone’s volume is also turned up. Tap on the Music page and tap on the Simple Looper banner.
(A) Looper Settings - tap on this area to access looper settings to adjust parameters.
(B) Undo/Redo Button - removes or restores the last recorded dub layer
(C) Record/Dub Button, Progress Circle - start recording or dubbing, see how much time is left before the loop repeats
(D) Mixer Button - Adjust loop and click volume
(E) Discard Button - discards the current loop if present
The looper can record up to 60 seconds, and one loop can be stored on the Spark device at a time.
Groove Looper
Groove Looper expands on the looper function even further, with realistic drums to accompany your loops to further immerse you in your own music.
Make sure you are connected to your Spark device’s Bluetooth Audio and Tone Control connections, and ensure that your phone’s volume is also turned up, then tap on the Music page and tap on the Groove Looper banner.
