Deleting Your Positive Grid Account

Q: What if I change my mind after deletion?
A: Once the deletion process is completed, it cannot be undone. If you’re unsure about deleting your account, we recommend saving any important data and considering alternatives like adjusting your email preferences instead.

 

Q: What if I want to delete my account due to privacy concerns?
A: Positive Grid takes your privacy seriously. If you have concerns about data privacy, we recommend exploring your options in the User Center or reviewing our privacy policy. Trust that your data is handled in compliance with strict privacy standards.

 

Q: Will I still receive email promotions?
A: Deleting your account will unsubscribe you from email promotions and notifications. If you’d like to stop receiving emails without deleting your account, you can adjust your email preferences in the settings.

 

Q: What happens to my order record?
A: Your order record will be deleted along with your account. This may affect our ability to provide warranty services, as we will no longer have access to your order history.

 

Q: What happens to my registered hardware?
A: If you delete your account, your registered hardware's serial numbers will still appear as active in our records. We won't identify the owner, and others attempting to register the same serial number will be notified it's already in use. To register your hardware again, create a new account and contact our support team for assistance.

 

Q: What happens to my purchased software?
A: Positive Grid software and licenses (e.g., BIAS FX 2, Experience Jimi Hendrix™ expansion pack, etc.) require an active account to activate and use. We use your account information as validation to prevent software piracy. Once your account is deleted, you will no longer have access to these purchases, as they are tied to your account. To regain access, you will need to contact support.

 

Q: What happens to my loyalty points, promo codes, or discounts?
A: Any loyalty points, promotional credits, unredeemed promo codes, or discounts associated with your Positive Grid account will be permanently deleted upon account deletion. These benefits cannot be transferred, restored, or recovered, so we recommend redeeming or using them before proceeding with account deletion.

 

Q: Will I still have access to upgrade or crossgrade pricing?
A: No, deleting your account will also delete your hardware registry and software licenses. As a result, you will no longer be eligible for future upgrade or crossgrade pricing.

 

Q: Can I transfer my licenses to another account?
A: Positive Grid licenses are tied to the original account and cannot be transferred directly to another account. However, if you absolutely need to transfer your license, please contact Positive Grid Support to discuss your situation. Be aware that transfers are only granted under specific circumstances and are subject to approval.

 

Q: What happens to my custom presets?
A: Custom presets you create or download from ToneCloud are normally stored locally on your machine or device. Deleting your account will not affect these locally stored presets. However, please note that licenses are required to activate Positive Grid software, and deleting your account will revoke access to your licenses. Ensure you fully understand this before proceeding.

 

Q: Will I lose access to my Spark App features?
A: While it is not necessary to log in to the Spark App to connect your Spark Amp with the app, deleting your account will result in the loss of any licenses for expansion packs, as well as any saved presets and playlists associated with your account. Ensure you back up any important data before proceeding with account deletion.

 

Q: What happens to my warranty or support claims?
A: If you delete your account, you will no longer have visibility into the remaining warranty or support records linked to that account. Ensure any ongoing claims are resolved before initiating the deletion process. Once deleted, all future claims will be managed directly with support.

 

Q: Will deleting my account affect the email associated with my in-app purchases?
A: No, deleting your account will not change the email for your in-app purchases. To update your email, please do so through the App Store.

 

Q: Can I re-use my email to create a new account after deletion?
A: No, once your Positive Grid account is deleted, the associated email cannot be used to create a new account. Please carefully consider this before proceeding with deletion.
