If no sound comes from Spark CAB 2, work through the checks below in order.
1. Both units powered on
Make sure both your source (Spark amp, Spark PEDAL, keyboard, mixer, etc.) and Spark CAB 2 are powered on. The Power Switch is on the rear panel - flip it to ON.
2. Cables firmly connected
Confirm the cable is fully seated at both ends:
- Spark amp (3.5mm Spark Input): the supplied 3.5mm Stereo Audio Cable goes from the amp's Headphone / Line Out to Spark CAB 2's Spark Input.
- Spark PEDAL / modeler / line-level source (XLR/TRS): a 1/4" TS/TRS or XLR cable from the source's main output to Spark CAB 2's XLR/TRS Combo Input 1/L.
3. Input Selector matches your cable
Set the Input Selector on the rear panel (labeled 4 in the diagram below) to the input you're using:
- Spark Input position - when using the 3.5mm Spark Input.
- XLR/TRS position - when using the XLR/TRS Combo Inputs.
4. Volume turned up
Make sure the Speaker Volume knob on Spark CAB 2 is turned up.
Also turn up the volume on your source:
- Spark 40 - turn up the Music Volume knob on the control panel.
- Spark 2 - turn up the Music knob.
- Spark MINI - turn up the Music knob on the control panel.
- Spark GO - turn up the volume by rotating the golden wheel on top clockwise.
- Spark PEDAL - turn up the Main (center) knob.
- Any XLR/TRS source - raise the output level on the source itself.
5. Isolate the issue - swap input or cable
- Swap in a different cable to rule out a bad cable.
- Try the other input on Spark CAB 2 (Spark Input vs XLR/TRS Combo) - if the other input works, the issue is isolated to one input or one source.
- Try the same source on another system / headphones to confirm the source itself is outputting sound.
Still no sound?
Contact Positive Grid Support via the Help Center with the following information:
- Spark CAB 2 serial number (on the rear panel label)
- Source device (Spark 40 / Spark 2 / Spark MINI / Spark GO / Spark PEDAL / third-party gear)
- Which Spark CAB 2 input you used (Spark Input or XLR/TRS)
- Cable type you used
- Which steps above you've already tried
