Through our ongoing pursuit of the perfect tone, you'll enjoy significantly improved sound flexibility with optimizations to EQ Scenario and other various fixes with this firmware update.

Before You Begin

Back up your custom presets to the ToneCloud, Spark App, or your Dropbox account. See also: Backup & Restore Tone Presets .
Make sure the Spark MINI is not connected to any other devices via Bluetooth.
Make sure the Spark MINI is not connected to the computer via USB cable.

Spark MINI Firmware Updater

This firmware is for Spark MINI ONLY.

Using this updater with any other Spark model, such as Spark 40, Spark GO, Spark LIVE, Spark EDGE, Spark 2, or Spark NEO may result in potential damage to your amplifier. Ensure that you are using the correct updater for your device.

System Requirements: macOS 10.13 or later / Windows 8 or later.
The updater does NOT run on Linux, ChromeOS, iOS, iPadOS, Android, or any other systems.

Instructions

Do not disconnect the USB cable or turn off your Spark MINI/computer during the entire update process (steps 3–7).

Download and unzip/extract the Spark MINI firmware updater to your computer.
Launch the firmware updater:
- For Mac users , right-click on the Spark Firmware Updater and select "Open".
- For Windows users: Right-click on the .exe file and select "Run as administrator".
Note: If you are unable to launch the firmware updater, please refer to " Open a Mac app from an unknown developer " or " How to Open EXE Files ". The updater is completely safe and free from viruses.
Connect Spark MINI to your computer using the supplied USB cable and power on the Spark MINI.
Enter Firmware Update Mode: Long-press and hold the Pair and Power buttons on the rear panel of the Spark MINI until all preset LEDs start to blink. The firmware updater will automatically detect if the update is available.
Click the red 'Update Firmware' button to start the update process.
The firmware update is complete when you see the 'Spark MINI is Up-to-Date' message. Click 'Done' and Spark MINI will automatically turn off.

Note: Mac users: Python 2.7 will be installed automatically during the update process. It is safe to uninstall after the update is complete.
Done! Power up your Spark MINI and start jamming.
You can check the firmware version by clicking on the product card when it's connected to the Spark app.
