In this guide, we will show you the most common Bluetooth connection issues with the Spark amp, guiding you through the possible solutions to fix them.
Check your Bluetooth connection
- Go to the "Menu" page in Spark app.
- Click on the Spark amp card on the top.
- Connect via "Tone Control" and "Bluetooth Audio". Please make sure both are connected.
- If any of these 2 options can't be connected, proceed with the next step.
Preparation
- Make sure Bluetooth is turned on on your mobile device.
- Close all background apps before you start to connect the amp.
- Turn off Bluetooth from all other mobile/tablet devices in your room (Bluetooth speakers, Apple Watch, etc).
- Bluetooth indicator on the rear of the Spark amp will stay in solid Blue when paired; it flashes when it's discoverable.
Reset Bluetooth, then pair them again.
- Reset your Spark amp's Bluetooth. (Spark 40 / Spark MINI)
- Remove Spark Amp from recognized devices in Bluetooth settings. (Android / iOS)
Update firmware and reconnected
- Upgrade to the latest firmware version. (Spark 40 / Spark MINI)
- Perform a factory reset on Spark amp. (Spark 40 / Spark MINI)
- Reconnect Spark app to Spark amp via bluetooth.
Android Troubleshoot
- Remove/forget all paired Bluetooth connections on your phone/tablet to ensure there's minimal interference.
- Try to enable GPS/Locations services if you're failed to connect.
iPhone/iPad Troubleshoot
- Remove/forget all paired Bluetooth connections on your phone/tablet to ensure there's minimal interference.
- If the output signal only coming out from your mobile device, Go to Settings>Bluetooth, select & connect Spark 40 Audio to ensure that you can playback all signals through the speakers on Spark amp.
