Spark Bluetooth Troubleshooting

This article will guide you through troubleshooting Bluetooth connection issues between the Spark App on your mobile device and your Spark Amp series products.


iOS & Spark Amps

  1. Update the Spark App
    Make sure the Spark App is updated to the latest version.

  2. Grant Bluetooth permission
    Go to Settings → Privacy & Security → Bluetooth, then make sure the Spark App has Bluetooth permission enabled (toggle switched ON).
  3. Check Other Bluetooth Devices
    Check whether any other Bluetooth devices (for example, a car, speaker, or other audio device) have previously connected to your Spark Amp.
    If so, please reset or clear the Bluetooth pairing on those devices.
  4. Reset iOS Bluetooth
    Go to Settings → Bluetooth. Turn Bluetooth OFF, wait a few seconds, then turn Bluetooth ON again.
  5. Rebuild the Connection

    Follow these steps in order:

    1. Forget BT Audio from your phone's Bluetooth device list.

    2. Forget the Connection Record inside the Spark App.

    3. Reboot your phone.
    4. Power on your Spark Amp:
      • Spark 40: Simply power on.
      • Spark GO, Spark NEO, Spark NEO CORE:
        Power on, then short-press the power button to activate Bluetooth pairing.
      • Spark 2, Spark MINI, Spark EDGE, Spark LIVE:
        Power on, then short-press the Pair button to activate Bluetooth pairing.
    5. Open the Spark App and search for your product model.
    6. Once paired in the Spark App, go to the Bluetooth device list on your phone and connect BT Audio.

Android & Spark Amps

  1. Update the Spark App
    Make sure the Spark App is updated to the latest version.

  2. Check Other Bluetooth Devices
    Check whether any other Bluetooth devices (for example a car, speaker, or other audio device) have previously connected to your Spark Amp.
    If so, please reset or clear the Bluetooth pairing on those devices.
  3. Reset Android Bluetooth and Network
    1. Go to Settings
    2. Scroll to the bottom and tap System/General Management.
    3. Scroll to the bottom and tap Reset. Tap Reset Bluetooth & Wi-Fi.
    4. Turn on the "Location" feature.

    *On some Android devices, Location services may affect access to Bluetooth devices. Please ensure both Location and Bluetooth are turned on.

  4. Rebuild the Connection

    Follow these steps in order:

    1. Forget BT Audio from your phone's Bluetooth device list.

    2. Forget the Connection Record inside the Spark App.

    3. Reboot your phone.
    4. Power on your Spark Amp:
      • Spark 40: Simply power on.
      • Spark GO, Spark NEO, Spark NEO CORE:
        Power on, then short-press the power button to activate Bluetooth pairing.
      • Spark 2, Spark MINI, Spark EDGE, Spark LIVE:
        Power on, then short-press the Pair button to activate Bluetooth pairing.
    5. Open the Spark App and search for your product model.
    6. If the Android system asks for "Spark BLE" connection permission via Bluetooth Device, please choose NO. The BLE connection must go through the Spark App.
    7. Once paired in the Spark App, go to the Bluetooth device list on your phone and connect BT Audio.
