General Guide
Connection Troubleshooting-Device Not Detected
If the firmware updater cannot detect your device, please follow the steps below before retrying:
Step |
Action | Details |
|---|---|---|
1 |
Switch USB port and cable | Try a different USB port or cable. A faulty cable or port is one of the most common causes of detection failure. |
2 |
Unplug all other USB devices | Disconnect other USB devices from your computer. This eliminates potential conflicts that may prevent the firmware updater from detecting your Spark. |
3 |
Avoid using a USB hub | Connect the Spark directly to your computer's USB port rather than through a USB hub. A direct connection ensures a more stable and reliable signal. |
4 |
Switch to another computer | If possible, try connecting the Spark to a different Mac or Windows computer. This helps determine whether the issue is specific to your current setup. |
